Dr Weivan Huang
Dr. Weivan Huang was born in Sydney, where he grew up with his family before moving interstate to attend University. Weivan graduated from Griffith University in 2019, where he completed a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and then later completed a Masters in Dentistry. In 2020, Weivan moved to Forbes, working at both the Forbes Dental Surgery and the West Wyalong Dental Surgery.
Weivan takes an interest in all aspects of general dentistry, with no issue being too much of a challenge for him. He particularly has a special interest in orthodontics (braces, plates), being passionate about the alignment and function of his patients’ bite.
Inside the surgery, Weivan is a fast-paced and efficient dentist. Outside of dentistry, he also enjoys playing a variety fast-paced sports, such as squash, badminton and dragon boating. Occasionally, he tutors students with mathematics, chemistry and physics.

Dr Jason Mallon
Dr. Jason Mallon is from Ireland and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol in 2016. He worked there in a busy dental surgery for 3 years. A job opportunity in Forbes saw Jason move to the area, where he works at both the Forbes Dental Surgery and the West Wyalong Dental Surgery.
Jason is interested in all aspects of general dentistry, but especially in saving teeth with endodontics (root canal treatment) and restorative (crowns, bridges). A clear alternative to braces for orthodontic treatments is Invisalign, with Jason being qualified in providing this treatment. He enjoys seeing his patient’s confidence improve with a new smile.
Whilst working, Jason maintains a reassuring, calm manner. Outside of dentistry, Jason enjoys undertaking a variety of different sports, which include golf, soccer, and tennis.

Dr Gaurav Malhotra
Dr. Gaurav Malhotra is from India and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2005. Attending both Monash and La Trobe Universities, he completed a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Health Science degree respectively, and then continued to complete the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Melbourne.
Forbes Dental Surgery was a new career opportunity for Gaurav to venture further into his passion of dentistry. He especially enjoys preventive (cleans/check-ups) and restorative (fillings) dentistry, and crowns. Gaurav ensures his patients have a comfortable experience by being informative, and as minimally invasive as possible. Regularly investing his time in education, he is continuing to grow as a clinician, providing the best outcomes for his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Gaurav enjoys driving and exploring local towns with the company of his wife, while also occasionally playing cricket and relaxing by watching a Netflix movie.

Caroline Coulthurst
Mrs. Caroline Coulthurst was raised on her family’s farm west of Forbes. Completing secondary education at Red Bend Catholic College, she moved to Wagga Wagga for her tertiary studies. In 2011, she graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy & Hygiene from Charles Stuart University. Whilst studying, she worked in the Forbes Dental Surgery before undertaking a short career with NSW Health in Orange. Returning to Forbes in 2013, she is the surgeries’ Oral Health Therapist.
Caroline has furthered her industry knowledge by completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Dental Therapy (advanced clinical practice) through the University of Melbourne in 2015. Caroline is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, in particular treating anxious children and preventing dental decay.
Outside of dentistry, Caroline is busy spending time with her family, in raising her two children, Harry & Lucy. She also enjoys cooking and taking the kids for visits at her family farm.
